You can sell as an individual or on behalf of a company. Kurodyne doesn't require you to form a company. You must be at least 18 and qualify for a Stripe connected account that can accept payments. If you sell for a company, you must have authority to bind it to the Terms of Use.
Your Stripe account must be based in Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, or the United States. Kurodyne checks the country of the Stripe account you connect, not your citizenship, and doesn't connect an account from any other country or region.
That depends on where you operate and what you sell. Selling as an individual can still require business registration or a license. Check the requirements with the relevant government authority. Your tax obligations also apply when you sell as an individual; Taxes for Digital Product Sellers explains registration, returns, and records.
Stripe may ask for your legal name, address, date of birth, tax information, and identity documents. You also need a bank account that Stripe supports for payouts. Stripe decides whether to approve your account. Stripe's verification requirements(opens in a new tab) vary by country and business type. Complete the requirements shown in your Stripe account.
Stripe also collects public business details, such as the name shown on card statements and your customer support email address and phone number, as Stripe's public business information guide(opens in a new tab) describes. Buyers see these details on their card statements or in Stripe's emailed receipts. Review these public details before entering personal contact information.
