You can set each product's price in whole US dollars from $5 to $500. Checkout doesn't add any transaction tax you owe, so your price includes it. What tax obligations apply to my sales? explains your obligations.
Kurodyne charges a standard 20% platform fee on each sale, calculated on the price after any discount you offer. The same standard rate applies to every seller, and there are no listing or monthly fees. Stripe's processing fees apply separately. Fee-free time lowers the platform fee to zero.
Kurodyne can lower the fee for an individual seller until a stated date and time. Orders created before then use the lower fee, and orders created after it pay the fee then in effect. The Console's Sales page shows the fee on each sale.
Kurodyne may change the standard rate. It publishes a new rate in the Terms and gives sellers advance notice of the rate and when it takes effect. The new rate applies only to orders created after that time, so an order already created at checkout keeps its fee.
A partial refund doesn't return the platform fee. When successful refunds from any source, including the Console's Sales page and your Stripe Dashboard, together cover the full payment, Kurodyne returns any remaining platform fee 31 days after the last of those refunds succeeds, because a refund can still fail after Stripe reports it succeeded. Until the fee returns, the Sales page shows the sale's revenue below zero. This is automatic while the Stripe account that received the payment stays connected to Kurodyne, unless the payment has had any dispute, including an inquiry. In that case, Kurodyne returns the fee manually, so it can take longer.
If you lose a dispute, Kurodyne returns the remaining platform fee only when it already owed the buyer an automatic full refund: delivery failed, a refunded payment came back after the buyer bought the product again, or the payment Stripe collected didn't match its order. The lost dispute replaces that refund, and Kurodyne returns the fee manually. A lost dispute on any other sale doesn't return the fee.
If the Stripe account that received the payment is disconnected, report the full refund to Kurodyne support at support@kurodyne.com with Stripe's refund record. Kurodyne verifies it and returns the remaining platform fee manually. Do this even if you have deleted your Kurodyne account. The Payments section of the Terms of Use is authoritative.
During fee-free time, Kurodyne charges you no platform fee. Stripe's processing fees still apply. You can earn it in two ways:
- As a founding seller: the first 100 sellers to have a product approved each get 3 months of fee-free time and a Founding seller badge on their store.
- Through an invitation: while you have a product in the Catalog, the Console's Referrals page gives you an invite link to share. When a seller who accepted your invitation has their first product approved, you each get 1 month of fee-free time, and you receive yours only if your account isn't suspended or deleted then.
A seller can accept one invitation before their first product is approved and can't change it afterward. If the two accounts have ever connected the same Stripe account, neither seller gets the invitation's fee-free time, though a founding grant still applies. Wherever you share your link, say that you get fee-free time when a seller you invite publishes. Don't send it as spam or use it to invite an account you control. Kurodyne can revoke fee-free time earned by breaking these rules.
Fee-free time adds up, to a limit. A new grant starts after any fee-free time you already have. Your fee-free time never runs more than 6 months past the day you earn a grant, so a grant that would go further is shortened, and you get no grant if less than a day remains. The Console dashboard shows your current fee, and the Referrals page lists each grant with its dates. Fee-free time has no cash value, and Fee-Free Programs in the Terms of Use is authoritative.
Stripe deducts its own processing fee from each sale. The fee depends on your Stripe account's country, the buyer's payment method and where it was issued, and your agreement with Stripe. Every sale is charged in US dollars, so if your Stripe account settles in another currency, Stripe converts each payment and charges a currency conversion fee. Stripe's pricing page(opens in a new tab) lists its standard rates, and your Stripe Dashboard shows the fees on each payment. Disputes carry separate Stripe fees, which How much can a chargeback or dispute cost? explains.
You keep the price after any discount, minus Kurodyne's platform fee, Stripe's fees, and any transaction tax you owe on the sale. The Console's Sales page reports your revenue before Stripe's fees, and Stripe's reports show its actual fees and balance adjustments. Refunds and disputes reduce revenue when they occur, and the platform fee rules explain when Kurodyne returns its fee.
For example, a $20 sale with no discount carries a $4.00 platform fee, so Kurodyne reports $16.00 of revenue. Stripe's fees for your account, and any transaction tax you owe on the sale, come out of that amount.
Stripe pays available funds from your sales to your bank account on your Stripe account's payout schedule. Each sale reaches your Stripe balance after Kurodyne's platform fee and Stripe's fees, and refunds and disputed amounts come out of that balance. Kurodyne never holds your sale funds or sets payout timing.
Stripe starts payouts only after it verifies your identity, business, and bank details. It decides when funds become available and which payout schedules your account can use, based on the account's country, currency, risk review, and configuration. Your Stripe Dashboard shows expected payout dates and lets you change your schedule. Stripe's payout documentation(opens in a new tab) describes the current options.
